How can I help you with a project or event?
I've been organizing events and taking on projects my entire adult life. Over the past 20ish years in particular I have worked on every aspect needed for a project or event from idea generation to program design to logistics coordination to creative hosting to day-of delivery to funder applications and reporting and all sorts of follow up. I've created and co-created dozens of events from 6 person workshops in my home and 20-40 person house concerts, to 3 to 7 day major conferences and convergences for 100's or 1000's of people. I am naturally drawn to convene.
These days, I work with the ideas and program design and, primarily, I consult on projects more than I produce them. For the right project I might also help with the more day-to-day, behind-the-scenes practicalities of pulling folks together into the same room so that they are well cared for and enjoy the experience you are offering: venue booking, food options, budgeting, scheduling, speaker/facilitator engagement, sponsor relationships, sound systems, on-site logistics and so on. I am not up to date with technological aspects anymore, so that's not how I can help. Working solo or in many different sorts of teams, I have the background diversity to adapt to many different contexts.
I choose projects or events that are in alignment with my values (and my time and energy capacity) which includes working toward the support of all life on this wee earth. Events and projects, particularly hands-on practical undertakings, that open up our hearts and minds toward an alive and regenerative way of being that can eventually be something we want to sustain. That includes topics in the areas of: nature/wildness, permaculture, the arts, storytelling, healing cities, the arts, new economy, strengthening youth, peace initiatives, re-skilling, integrative medicine, restitution with indigenous peoples, integrative multi-sector projects, and others.
Below are a some photos and promotional materials from a few past events.
